Family and friends of Harbormen Baseball,

If you can't make a game but want to see how the team is doing, the games will be broadcast live on the internet.

The game is on a website that is dedicated to our games in real time. We will be able to use an intuitive interview process to record even the most complex plays. Full base runner control means that every stolen base, pick-off and passed ball is tracked. Multilevel undo/redo support lets us return to any point in the game, from the first play of the game to the last.

So tune in after the game starts.

The website address is: iscorecast.com

The customer ID is: 631d3db8fb

Once you are logged-in, you should see the current Game listed at the top of the game list. If you don't see it, click on "Update". Be sure to turn the volume on.

Play Ball !!

THREE MEMBERS OF THE 2010 CONTINUE PLAYING BASEBALL

It is with great excitement that we have learned that seven players from the 2009 Harbormen Baseball Team are continuing to play baseball this spring. In addition, one of this year's Harbormen has committed to playing baseball in 2011. This is a record number of Harbormen that are continuing baseball after playing for the Harbormen.

We wish all the players good luck with their college teams.

Hingham Travel Baseball

Hingham Travel Baseball has conducted Hingham summer baseball programs for twenty plus years through the Suburban, South River and Friendship leagues and will do the same again in 2010. This is not Hingham Little League. Hingham Summer Travel Baseball operates with its own officers, directors, coaches, finances and web site. These are not Little League District or summer district or Williamsport bound teams. Hingham Travel Baseball Teams are entered in the Suburban League for ages: 9, 10, 11 & 12 and the South River League in the 9/10, 11/12 and 12 year old levels, depending upon interest levels. In addition, we will enter teams in the 8 year old Friendship League if there is sufficient enrollment. Our goal, if we have enough managers, is to have every child who wants to play summer baseball, placed on a team. Suburban League teams are competitive and select players and make cuts based on a combination of player tryouts, manager’s observations and spring season coach evaluations. South River teams are balanced through a draft and do not make cuts so long as we have sufficient coaches. Friendship League teams have a limited number of roster spots. The coaches are selected based on their demonstrated abilities and commitment to these teams and ability to treat players fairly. We expect the same from our players. These teams require a commitment to attend games and practices which may be on weekdays and weekends both in Hingham and the surrounding towns. If your child attends overnight camp or will be away in July or will miss several games, we suggest that you consider not taking a spot. Games begin at the end of June or early July and continue until the second week of August. Because these summer teams are independent from Hingham Little League and maintain separate finances, web site, etc. they pay for all of their own expenses. Also this year Hingham Recreation Commission has instituted a 300% increase for field permit fees. There are no sponsors or other fundraising activities and teams are totally self funding. In some cases a team may incur additional costs for additional tournaments. Fee waivers are available for families with extenuating financial circumstances. Elliot Sherman, Director Hingham Travel Summer Baseball, Brendan Brazel - Manager, Suburban 12 year olds, Joe Craven - Manager, Suburban 11 year olds, Bob Beniers - Manager, Suburban 10 year olds, Ed Ring - Manager, Suburban 9 year olds Ron Hutchins - Manager, Friendship AM 8 year olds, Mark Tedeschi -Manager, Friendship NAT 8 year olds
